angelina jolie in white versace new_tattoo

Angelina Jolie did not get a new tattoo, wows in white Versace   (update)

MEXICO/

CB bought one photo from the Angelina Jolie photo call from two days ago. Thank God! I was in physical pain that we didn’t have any of these photos. So here we are, Angelina in white, waving her tattooed arm around to all of the few photographers who showed up at this damn joint. Also, I’ll just say this - I think Angelina is a beautiful woman, and I think she’s one of the few Hollywood women who is aging pretty naturally, without the ‘Tox   and the restylane   and all of that (Don‘t believe me? Look at this closeup). But - girlfriend needs to put on some concealer. I’m all for aging naturally, but doing a photo call without any base or foundation on your skin is all kinds of wrong.
I love the white Versace   though. I like it when Angelina goes back to a label she trusts, and Versace   is one of the few she has consistently worn throughout the years. The brand work on her, and she works the brand. More white, please!
Also - Hollywood Life is claiming that Angelina has a new tattoo - some sort of swirly addition to the Roman-numeral “13” on her forearm. Here’s a closeup:

closeup

Eh. But YAY!!!!! for new photos, right? I’m so happy.

Tattooed Poets Project: Stephen Roger Powers

Today's tattooed poet is Stephen Roger Powers  , who is sharing this tattoo of an iconic figure from the music industry:

Stephen explains:

I've been a Dolly Parton   fan since my family took a road trip to Tennessee in 1987.  We stopped at Dollywood  , and I fell in love.  When I was in college I wanted a Dolly tattoo, but I never went through with getting one.  I kept the thought of it in the back of my mind for years, and when I started writing poems about Dolly and my frequent trips to Dollywood to see her perform benefit concerts for the Dollywood Foundation  , the idea slowly crept forward again.  Then my book of Dolly poems came out in 2009, and I knew it would soon be time.  One day last year my friend Liz, who has 14 tattoos herself, told me to stop thinking about it, stop talking about it, and just do it.  Sounded reasonable to me.  So Liz drove me to Liberty Tattoo   in Atlanta and introduced me to Michael "Shack" Shackelford  , the artist who'd done most of hers.  Shack drew up a stylized, cartoonized version of Dolly from the cover of her 1977 album Here You Come Again, taking some creative license by adding pokey nipples, which was fine with me.

Liz kept saying she wasn't going to let me back out of it now that she'd driven me there and gotten pulled over for an illegal u-turn on the way, so Shack sat me down, we got started, and today I have Dolly Parton inked on my forearm.  While the tattoo is based on a full body shot of Dolly and it runs down my entire right forearm from elbow to wrist, the photo here is a close-up of just her face and torso, which I think makes Shack's details easier to see.

The Tattooed Poets Project: Laura White

Today's tattooed poet is Laura White, who was referred to us by the amazing Dorianne Laux. Dorianne is not inked, but, over the past three years, she has been invaluable as a resource for us, referring numerous tattooed poets to us who she knows in the poetry community, as well as several of her talented students, past and present.

So Laura sent us this photo which, if you ask me, is quite breathtaking:

Photo by Qlint Chesney, courtesy of Laura White

In it, you can see the extent to which she is tattooed, and she offered us this summary of several of her tattoos:

These tattoos were done by amazing Annie Frenzel, who used to be at Blue Flame Tattoo in Raleigh, N.C. but is now at Lowbrow Tattoo Parlour in Berlin, Germany. The bluebird on my shoulder was done about four years ago, and the half-sleeve   finished up this past October. I was born and raised in Northeastern North Carolina, where the Eastern Bluebird is a common sight.

Detail of Photo by Qlint Chesney
Aside from being an absolutely beautiful, brilliantly blue and orange bird, they hold a special place in my heart because as a kid my grandparents had a nesting box behind their house. Together, we would keep an eye out on the little inhabitants, shooing away larger birds and guarding the nest from snakes and other predators. When my grandfather passed away about five years ago, I knew exactly how to grieve for him.
The half-sleeve came later, and is a continuing tribute to the people and places that have made me who I am today.

Detail of Photo by Qlint Chesney
The three kinds of flowers are pink gerber daisies, red poppies, and orange tiger lilies, which my family and I always called cow lilies, because they grow wild in the pastures around our home. The gerber daisies are a personal favorite, because they are strikingly pretty, but in a spunky and fresh way. The poppies are a tribute to a trip I took to Turkey a few years back, in which I realized that the poppies that grow wild all over the Greek and Roman ruins are the same as the poppies that grow along the roadside in my own hometown. And the "cow" lilies, as suggested before, are a tribute to my parents and my childhood family. I remember a specific trip to my grandparents' house in which my dad pulled the car off on the side of the road, shooed us all out of the car, and helped us pick handfuls of lilies from the ditch by the road to take to our grandma.
I'm far from finished with my body art  -- but maybe don't tell that to my mother. Something that I really hope to incorporate into these pieces one day is the last line of a Philip Larkin poem. It's from "An ArundelTomb," and I think it perfectly sums up not only my tattoo aesthetic, but my poetic one as well: "What will survive of us is love."

Excision Tattoo Removal

Excision Tattoo Removal

Excision Tattoo Removal

Tattoos seen on people’s skins can be small or large enough to cover large parts of their body. There are various ways of removing tattoos and the method adopted varies with the size. Needless to say that the best methods of tattoo removal are those performed by a qualified doctor.

Excision Tattoo removal is a cosmetic surgical procedure, and must not be taken lightly. It must be undertaken after taking into consideration various issues like the patient’s general health, the risks involved, the probability of success in removing the tattoo, the expenses and the need to undergo the procedure by a qualified doctor. There are various methods of removing tattoos, some of the most popular ones being Excision, Dermabrasion, Laser and Salabrasion. Each of the methods successfully removes the tattoo but some blemishes or discoloring stays though it may fade over time.

The success of the process is determined by the skin quality, the duration for which the tattoo has been on the skin, the tattoo artist’s experience and the healing process of the patient. The Excision method of tattoo removal is highly successful in the case of small tattoos. Excision means to remove by cutting, and this is the basic principle of the excision method of tattoo removal. It helps to remove the entire tattoo if it is small, in a single session, but in the case of larger ones, more than one excision sessions would have to be undergone. Large tattoos can be removed by excision in multiple sittings, in which the cosmetic surgeon begins with removing the skin of the center of the tattoo, completing the excision process and after the wound has healed completely, move towards the outer parts of the tattoo bit by bit.

The whole tattoo may take months to be removed, the time depending on the size. It may also require a skin graft from another part of the body. In simple terms, the process entails removing the skin that has the dye and then stitching the edges to close the gap. The procedure is carried out under local anesthesia to numb the pain. The various steps of this procedure include :
  • Injecting a local anesthetic in the tattoo area to make it numb and pain free
  • Cutting off the skin patch having the tattoo, and this includes removing both the epidermis and the dermis. This is referred to as “full thickness removal”.
  • Stitching the edges of the gap left by the removal of the tattoo with the help of special sutures
  • In small tattoos, a single excision will suffice but in the case of a large tattoo, multiple sessions may be required with only a small part of the tattoo removed each time and a skin graft performed in the end over the large patch.

Benefits of the Excision Method

The Excision method is one of the older methods used by medical professionals to remove tattoos. It is opted for by many, even though this is an invasive procedure, for the following reasons :
  • Immediate results
  • Positive outcome with complete removal of tattoo as though rooted out
  • Minimal blood loss-this procedure entails the loss of minimal amounts of blood since it uses heated needles in a method called electrocautery to shut off the blood vessels around the area where the procedure is being performed
  • A painless process since local anesthesia is injected to numb the area.
  • A quick and simple surgical procedure especially if the tattoo is small
  • Any scars left, often just a straight line of sutures, fade away over time
  • It is an outpatient procedure that does not require expensive hospital stay
  • Normal life and activities can continue as before, almost immediately after the surgery, except for avoiding direct sunlight falling on the affected area
  • An inexpensive procedure, which may cost around $150 or less for a small tattoo, but may be more for a large tattoo.
  • The success rate is as high as 95%.

Things to be Cautious About Before And After Tattoo Excision Surgery
  • It is important to understand the procedure before undertaking it
  • It is always recommended that the procedure be carried out by a qualified surgeon
  • The success would depend on the manner in which the tattoo was made-a professional would spread the ink evenly and hence it would be easier to remove as well
  • It can be a slightly painful process, and the patient has to be willing to bear it
  • The area remains tender for sometime and it needs to be kept protected to avoid infections
  • The patient has to be able to avoid direct sunlight from hitting the area to avoid pigmentation before the procedure is undertaken, and even after the procedure
  • The risk of infection is highest in this type of tattoo removal procedure, and utmost care is required to keep the area clean and germ free
  • Antibiotics will need to be taken before and after the procedure
  • People suffering from unstable diabetes or auto-immune disorders must avoid opting for tattoo removal
  • Smoking may impede the healing process after surgery

Disadvantages

Some of the disadvantages of the Excision Procedure include :
  • It requires the administration of anesthesia which a few people are allergic to
  • A painful alternative requiring cutting of the skin
  • A scar left may never disappear
  • The whole area may seem bruised for sometime
  • This is an invasive procedure and many in the medical profession recommend non-invasive procedures
  • It works for small areas and larger tattoos can become expensive and a long drawn treatment
  • Physical activity has to be restricted for a few days to hasten the healing process

Things That Can Go Wrong

While excision as a method of tattoo removal is tried and tested and widely used, it comes with its own fair share of risks. Nothing can be error free and many things that can go wrong and create unnecessary complications. Some of these include :
  • The tattoo may be deeply imbedded and may require a larger, deeper incision, which will take longer to heal and be more painful
  • A reaction to the anesthetic may lead to complications
  • Infection may set in on the wound and may require hospitalization and additional expense
  • While electrocautery is used to minimize bleeding, in rare cases this may not work and bleeding can take place
  • There can be pigmentation problems if there is even a little exposure to the sun
  • In the case of larger tattoos where skin grafts are required, besides the tattoo site, the risk of infection increases even where the skin is removed from, for grafting
  • The antibiotics prescribed may lead to uncomfortable side effects
  • Inflammation and bruising of the affected area

For all its effectiveness and the success rate of the excision procedure of tattoo removal, this method has lost out to the use of lasers for tattoo removal, perhaps due the fact that it is a quicker, non-invasive procedure delivering the same results. People now want quick-fix solutions to everything and therefore, excision for tattoo removal is kept more as a standby option rather than as a first preference.

Business oriented individuals can see that there is a booming and growing potential for the laser tattoo removal treatment industry. Lasers have come a long way and have become very efficient at removing tattoos and is currently the best option available to the public.

Tattoo removal costs related to laser are very high, but even the bad economy has not really dampened this growing industry. This is probably due to the fact that laser removal is an expensive process that is beyond the reach of many people to begin with. As history has shown, the wealthy and well off are not as deeply affected by a negative economy as middle class Americas.

The tattoo removal business is such an attractive enterprise that tattoo shop owners are starting to expand their business to include laser removal. They are investing in the equipment and the space and in some cities you will find a laser removal office sharing a building with a tattoo shop. Making laser removal easily available to people interested in tattoos is a smart business move. Perhaps people that were procrastinating about getting a tattoo removed will be more likely to make the plunge if they see a removal office every time they visit their favorite tattoo parlor.

Another advantage of sharing a business between these two services is the use of laser to remove part of a tattoo or fade a tattoo to enable a tattoo artist to produce a better cover-up for the area.

To make the laser tattoo removal a more affordable service, medical spas are now offering reasonable financing options. Similar to applying for a credit card, these companies specialize in financing optional medical procedures such as laser eye surgery and laser tattoo removal.

As more options become available for tattoo removal, laser may acquire a more reasonable price tag but for now, this tattoo removal option is the most efficient way to remove tattoos.

The Prosperity of Tattoo Removal

The Prosperity of Tattoo Removal

The Prosperity of Tattoo Removal

It is hard to perceive, but the tattoo removal business is still in its infant stages. The body art business has experienced an astonishing growth in the last couple of decades with statistics showing that more than 30% of adults now have at least one tattoo. It is no longer considered taboo by most of society and body art is now popular with people from all walks of life.

With the adoration of tattoos also comes a large number of individuals that would like to be able to remove a tattoo. Unfortunately, many people don’t think through their decisions even though you should always get a tattoo with the mindset that it’s forever. Tattoo removal is costly and hurtful.

Against the counsel of friends and family, there are still a large number of tattoo enthusiasts that stand firm on getting their existing partner’s name inked on their skin. This is never a good idea. Others may be burdened with poorly done tattoos. Another popular reason for looking for tattoo removal is for a job or change in career paths.

Whatever the many reasons individuals have for wanting a tattoo removed, they should investigate the different options available before deciding on the method that is right for them. Laser removal is the most well known and most popular choice now available. Laser is the most excellent at capably removing an unwanted tattoo with minimum scarring. Lasers have been improved upon, making them more effective than in past years. There are two negatives to lasers. That is the prices and the discomfort.

The tattoo removal cream line has a good selection of companies to choose from. Some of the most popular and highly plugged tattoo removal creams include Tattoo Off, Tat B Gone, Wrecking Balm, and Tat-Med. The creams have known to be successful at fading tattoos but in some cases they have failed to completely exterminate a professionally administered tattoo.

These creams have a wide variety of ingredients that should be reviewed before deciding on the one you’d like to try. Some people claim that tattoo removal creams are good for fading tattoos but may fail to completely remove the ink. Some people combine tattoo removal creams and follow it with laser removal to complete the job. It’s best to check into thoroughly all options before rushing into anything.

The art of tattooing dates back from several centuries ago. In fact, discovered artifacts have shown apparent pieces of evidence that tattooing existed during the Neolithic times. Tattoo is a body art produced through inserting indelible ink, using a sharp object or needle, into the dermis. During the primitive eras, tattoo symbolizes identification. Members of prehistoric tribes distinguish each other through the distinct tattoo designs in their bodies. Tattoo was a part of their way of life back then; however, as humanity and modernity progress, this body art
became a body modification for aesthetic and self-satisfaction purposes.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, tattoo has five different kinds: traumatic tattoos, amateur tattoos, professional tattoos, cosmetic tattoos, and medical tattoos. Traumatic tattoos are also called natural tattoos. People obtain them from unexpected injuries like road accidents and pencil pricks. The amateur and professional tattoos are obtained through the traditional methods done by ancient tribe members and modern tattoo machines. Cosmetic tattoos are also called permanent makeup, like eyebrow tattoo and lip line tattoo.

Prior to the 21st century, most people have constraint against it because of two main reasons: a. tattoo is permanent and b. due to health risks. If you want to get inked, you must think about it several times first. You must find substance to why you want to have a tattoo. If you do it just to fit in and explore, then the tendency is after a few months or year, you may regret and feel embarrassed having it. The common complaint I hear from those who want to erase their tattoo is they were too young when they got inked. Getting a tattoo is not cheap; how much more with tattoo removal? But, today, tattoo removal techniques and technologies are developed. Also, sanitation in tattoo shops is strictly regulated.

An up-to-date tattoo removal option is via laser. The laser directs its energy with highly concentrated light beams into the pigment of the tattoo. The ink particles break up into tiny fragments. Through the scavenging cells, these fragments are being cleared up from the
skin. Normally, several sessions are required if the ink level is deep. What you have to understand is there is a huge possibility that the tattoo won’t completely be removed. The factors depend on the location of the tattoo, size, age and health condition of the person.
Those who have their tattoos on the chest, arms, legs, or buttocks are the best candidates for laser tattoo removal. Meanwhile, tattoos on areas that have less body fat, such as the fingers and ankles, are difficult to remove.

Amy Winehouse And Her Incredible Tattoo

Amy Winehouse And Her Incredible Tattoo

Amy Winehouse, the 27-year-old English pop star, was found dead at her home in London today.
The "Rehab" singer was known for her soulful throwback voice and her incredible stage presence.

Amy Winehouse is known for her bluesy voice, her wild behavior and a baker's dozen of tattoos. A lot of her ink is "old school" in flavor, being colored and styled more like tattoos from the mid-20th century.

Like many artists, Amy was a rebel in her own right, an artist who wasn't afraid to express herself on any level. For instance, Amy has a tattoo on her right arm scripted with the name Cynthia. When Amy was a little girl, her grandmother encouraged her singing aspirations. So when Amy was nine years old, her grandmother, Cynthia, suggested she attend the Susi Earns haw Theatre School.

Her arms sport most of her tattoos. If you look at pictures, you'll find a lucky horseshoe, a lightning bolt, a feather and a gaggle of pin-up girls. Some of those tattooed ladies are dressed and some are not. The British tabloids like to say she's tattooed like a sailor. However, her choice of designs that look more like they are from the 1950s or 1960s is actually part of a trend right now in tattooing. This style of skin art also goes well with her look and musical style which both harkens back to the 60s.

Ever wondered why a lawsuit never got filed against Labor Substitution, or stealing of EB Gcs by nurses, or against the discriminatory country quotas?

Simple, you need an Immigration Attorney to file the case. The same AILA cardholding person who is expecting a windfall profit out of interfiling/PD porting. I am interested to see the immigration attorney who is willing to sacrifice profit for principle. It would be a first in history if that happen!!

Good luck to everyone willing to participate in this wild goose chase. I guess you guys have too much money in bank to spend over such a mission impossible. If only you'd contribute equally to IV campaigns...
